Vector CANoe Option CANopen is an add-on for the CANoe environment that provides comprehensive support for developing, simulating, analyzing, and testing CANopen networks. It allows you to work with both master and slave nodes throughout the lifecycle—from early prototyping to commissioning and troubleshooting.
Key capabilities include EDS/DCF import for quick device modeling, real-time access to object dictionary entries, and monitoring/stimulation of PDO and SDO communication. The option supports NMT state management, Heartbeat/Node Guarding, EMCY handling, and SYNC/TIME objects, enabling accurate system behavior analysis. You can perform restbus simulations, inject faults, trace bus traffic with protocol-aware decoding, and build interactive measurement panels. Automated, repeatable tests are supported via CAPL and vTESTstudio, helping validate CiA 301–based implementations and common device profiles. The option integrates with CANoe’s logging and reporting, and works with compatible CAN interface hardware for bench and field use. Typical applications include device firmware development, system integration, acceptance testing, and diagnostics in industrial automation.
Vector CANoe Option CANopen is developed by Vector Informatik GmbH. The most popular version of this product among our users is 8.1. The names of program executable files are CANeds.exe, pco.exe.
